2 9 5 Students will study the chemical composition and safe handling of nail care products as well as their application. The techniques of performing manicures and pedicures as well as basic hand, arm, and foot massage will be demonstrated and practiced in the laboratory setting. Artificial nail applications to include fabric procedures, sculpting procedures, use of light curing gels, and other special nail services will also be introduced. Business aspects of salon operation will be simulated in preparation for the provision of client services.
