5.5 12 9.5 This course builds on concepts, skill, and theory learned in NUP 100 and NUP 115 and includes care of the client with selected common health problems in a structured health care setting. Maternal-child, mental health, and child health principles and concepts are explored. Students are provided the opportunity to use the concepts of the nursing process and critical thinking in the clinical setting. Pharmacology principles and concepts of major drug classifications will be integrated as appropriate to the units of study. Learning experiences are provided in the classroom and auto-tutorial lab, nursing campus lab, and clinical settings. Satisfactory (S) performance in clinical and the nursing campus lab and minimum grade of "C" in theory are required in order to pass the course. Offered: Spring, Fall Prerequisite: Successful completion of NUP 115 and all co-requisites with a grade of "C" or better. Applicable toward graduation at CSC where program structure permits: Degree or Certificate -AAS, AGE, All Certificates General Education - Not Applicable
