1.5 3 2.5 This course is an introductory course focusing on the principles and skills essential to all levels of nursing practice. The selected universal needs of hygiene, activity/rest, safety, and elimination are included. Developmental needs of the older adult are discussed. Learning experiences are provided in the classroom and auto-tutorial lab, nursing campus lab, and clinical settings. This course is not required for the Certified Nursing Assistant. Satisfactory (S) performance in clinical and the nursing campus lab and a minimum grade of "C" in theory are required in order to pass the course. Offered: Fall, Spring Prerequisite: Admission to Practical Nursing Program Applicable toward graduation at CSC where program structure permits: Degree or Certificate -AAS, AGE, All Certificates General Education - Not Applicable
