This course provides a basic examination of the roles of labor and management in the United States and their relationship to each other. The objectives, issues and problems of labor and management are studied through an analysis of collective bargaining clauses and the bargaining processes. Union growth, structure, management organization, labormanagement legislation, wage structure and wage incentives are considered. Also covered are aspects of contract administration, as well as labor-management relations in a non-union environment. Community resource speakers are utilized.
