Safety and Well Being is a survey course that examines human services. The course will review (1) the themes and purposes of human services, (2) the dual focus of client and helper, (3) management principles, (4) professional roles, and (5) professional activities. In addition, the course will cover basic techniques in the area of safety and well being that have to be understood and utilized when working with a population of physically and mentally challenged individuals.
