3 Credits (3 Lectures) This course focuses on developing one's abilities to generate ideas suitable for formal North American English academic writing and to express those ideas in essay form. Students will use their writing to identify punctuation, grammatical usage and spelling problems, and create effective strategies for their correction. It is highly recommended that ESL091R be completed prior to enrollment in ESL100W. Prerequisite: ESL090W or appropriate ESL placement score.
