This course will introduce the student to the career of a respiratory care practitioner. Theory on the following basic modalities will be covered: patient assessment and history, medical gas, floor treatment modalities, sputum, introduction to pharmacology and basic respiratory anatomy, and charting for said procedures. Medical terminology will also be covered. Offered: Fall Prerequisite: Admission to the program Applicable toward graduation at CSC where program structure permits: Degree or Certificate -AAS, AGE, All Certificates General Education - Not Applicable
