3 Credits (3 Lectures) Conceptual background required for understanding Meleis' nursing theory of transitions, Gordon's functionalhealth patterns, and other theories and models used in the Central Arizona College nursing curriculum. Required for all LPNs entering the second year of the nursing program who completed the first year at CAC or another Healing Community program prior to Fall 1999, or who are coming from an outside program. Prerequisite: Acceptance into the second year of the Nursing Program or Consent of Instructor.
