The overall goal of the course is to have students develop more effective communication skills for use in small group situations. Students will practice providing appropriate and effective feedback among group members, resolving conflicts, problem solving in small groups, and participating in and facilitating group discussions. Students will be expected to study group theory and understand the small group communication process while undertaking a worthwhile community action project as a group effort.
