The course content will focus on oral and written interpretations of short stories. The course will include the definition of literary terms, and will examine the evolution of the short story as a unique literary form. In addition to the works presented in class, the students will also be required to complete some outside reading of their own choice. They will be encouraged to select some authors from nondominant cultures. Prerequisite: ENG 101 or Department Chair approval.
