Lecture) *15 wks Introduction to Literature introduces the student to a variety of ways to think and write about the three literary genres: short fiction, poetry and drama. Through close textual readings, class discussions, and writing assignments, students will learn to think critically and to write confidently about literary works, as well as to discuss such texts with an understanding of literary terms. This course is designed for transfer into a four year program. Prerequisite: Successful completion of ENG 101.
