Designed to develop knowledge and skills required for effective fire behavior prediction. Introduces fire behavior calculations by manual methods, using nomograms. Student will gain an understanding of the determinants of fire behavior through studying input (wind, slope, fuels, and fuel moisture). Students also learn how to interpret fire behavior output.
