Covers planning, ignition procedures and techniques, and equipment applicable to wildland and prescribed fire. It also addresses the role of ignition specialist or firing boss as the organization manages escalation from a non-complex to a complex fire situation. NOTE: Course is not intended to qualify or certify any personnel in the use or transport of any firing device.
