MnTC: Goals 05 & 07 This first-year course is a survey of American economic, political, and social history since the end of the Civil War era. Topics include the consequences of industrialization, the rise of the United States as a world power, and the changing nature of the American people and their relationship with their government. Students will focus on the contributions of men and women from different ethnic and racial backgrounds. Recommendation: Assessment score placement in RDNG 1000 or completion of RDNG 0090 with a grade of "C" or higher; assessmentscore placement in ENGL 1021 or completion of ENGL 0090 with a grade of "C" or higher.
