This course covers the fundamentals of gas heat. Topics include gas burners, gas controls, gas ignition, safety, operating controls, service and maintenance on gas furnaces, and combustion efficiency testing procedures. Proper procedures and performance skills for logically troubleshooting a gas heating system will also be covered. Students must be able to perform physical tasks to complete course requirements. This course requires completion of FACM 1030 or concurrently enrolled.
