Continues American Sign Language (ASL), supported by vocabulary, grammar, and active communication. Presents Deaf Culture and community as well as historical aspects through reading, writing, and short signed or videotaped presentations. Uses ASL as the primary language in the classroom. Course has an online component that requires students to use Internet resources for coursework. Prerequisite: grade of "C" or better inASL112 within one year or consent of instructor. Instructor can test student or require additional assignments to satisfy prerequisite skill/knowledge requirements. Internet skills required. Sp, Su, Offered as needed.
