The first semester of a two-semester sequential course designed for liberal arts and pre-health science students. The course covers the fundamental principles and concepts of chemistry including structure, bonding, acid-base chemistry, oxidation-reduction, elementary thermodynamics and kinetics and equilibrium chemistry. Lecture - 3 hours/week. Lab - 3 hours/week.
