Exposes students to the fundamentals necessary to problem solve advanced casting projects. Presents multiple mold making processes for reproduction and for high temperature casting. Includes glass testing, sculpting in a variety of materials, cold-working, fi ring, and taking safety precautions. Also covers the exploration of the historical and contemporary development of cast art glass. Uses assignments to develop more advanced glass casting skills. Prerequisite: ART248 or consent of instructor. Off ered as needed.
