Knowledge and application of practices that promote good nutrition, dental health, physical and mental health, and safety of infants/toddlers, preschool and school-aged children in a group setting as well as that of the adult student. Health lifestyle, preventative health and community resources and responding to emergencies are examined. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. 150 minutes per week. 3 credit hours.
