Acquaints current and prospective caregivers with the ways infant and toddlers play and learn at specific developmental levels. Through use of observations students will plan to meet needs of individual children in a group setting. Emphasis will be on creating a context for responsive and respectful care giving in a group setting. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Prerequisite: Child Development 101, or Consent of Department Chairperson. 150 minutes per week. 3 credit hours.
