Analysis of state and municipal codes as they apply to law enforcement. Emphasis on structure, essential elements and most frequently used sections. Review of day to day duties of a law enforcement officer. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Prerequisite: Public Service 130 and Public Service 131 and Public Service 132, or Consent of Department Chairperson. 150 minutes per week. 3 credit hours.
