This course presents the principles of refrigeration and air conditioning. The student will be prepared to enter the workforce as a refrigeration and air conditioning service technician. Brazing techniques will be taught and practiced during the installation of access fittings, filter-driers, and compressors. The students will be prepared for certification in the recovery of Type I and Type II refrigerants. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline are part of the course. 2 lecture hours and 6 lab hours. 4 credit hours.
