Special topics in CIS will be discussed along with appropriate lab and/or field trip activities. New developments will be emphasized, especially materials useful in K-12 education and industry. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Course may be repeated up to three times when topics are different, and may count for a maximum of four variable credits. Consent of Department Chairperson required for repeatability. Prerequisite: Placement Test, or English 100 with a grade of C or better, or Consent of Department Chairperson. 50-200 minutes per week. 1-4 credit hours
