Studying the principles and techniques of applying hair tints and bleaches, students learn color-blending methods and they gain knowledge about the composition, merits and limitations of chemicals used in the cosmetology field. Students also learn about potential reactions of various hair and scalp textures to specific chemicals. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. 3 credit hours.
