The interdisciplinary interpretation of historic and contemporary creative works (art, drama, film, literature, and music) with gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered themes, primarily by multicultural GLBT authors and artists of the Americas. Analysis of GLBT culture from the perspective of Queer theory. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Prerequisite: Placement Test, or English 100 with a grade of C or better, or Consent of Department Chairperson. 150 minutes. 3 credit hours.
