This course is designed to familiarize the student with page layout software used in the printing industry for desktop and electronic publishing, image setting, and pre press applications. Emphasis is placed on the study and hands on operation of personal computer systems, flatbed scanners, and laser printers. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. 2 lecture and 2 lab hours per week. 3 credit hours.
