This course is designed to familiarize the student with hardware and software used in electronic publishing which includes desktop publishing, electronic imaging, computer page layout and graphics. Emphasis is placed on the study and hands on operation of hardware systems and exploration of word processing and graphic software programs used for desktop/electronic publishing. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. 150 minutes per week. 3 credit hours.
