This course is designed to familiarize the student with the hardware equipment and software application used in the printing industry for electronic color publishing, image setting, and color separation applications. Emphasis is placed on the study and hands on operation of color separations on film, paper and plates; color scanning techniques are utilized by electronic processing and image setting. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. 2 lecture and 2 lab hours per week. 3 credit hours.
