This course is one of the requirements of the Teacher's Assistant advanced certificate program. It is designed to provide an introduction to the study of methods of diagnosing reading difficulties and using corrective reading techniques. It includes instructional materials which can be utilized in the classroom or in small group settings to ve3rcome reading problems. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Prerequisite: Successful completion of Education 083-0206 or Consent of Department Chairperson. 150 minutes per week. 3 credit hours.
