This course will examine human interactions with geologic processes and hazards, including earthquakess, volcanoes, landslides, subsidence, hydrology, and flooding; occurrence and availability of geologic resources, such as energy, water, and minerals; Principals of land-use planning, pollution, and waste disposal, environmental impact, health, and law. Writing assignments as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. 150 minutes per week. 3 credit hours.
