This course is designed to teach the student advanced instruction and practice in stripping film utilizing electronic stripping software. Course work includes creating electronic impositions, templates, and postscript files. Advanced preparation of folding dummies, color proofing, platemaking, and master marks; handling and use of electronic image setters, film processors, color printers, rapid access materials and chemistry. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. 2 lecture and 2 lab hours per week. 3 credit hours.
