A first course in ordinary differential equations; solutions of first order and first degree differential equations, linear differential equations with constant co-efficients. Linear differential equations of higher order, special differential equations of second order and differential equations of first order but not of first degree. Numerical methods, series solutions and applications included. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in Mathematics 208, or Consent of Department Chairperson. 150 minutes per week. 3credlthours.
