Prerequisites: BIO 2513/11, and BIO 2923/21 This course will provide the dental hygiene student with fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to begin actual clinical treatment of clients. The lecture portion will focus on the history, philosophy, and theories relevant to the dental hygiene profession. The preclinical portion will focus on the development of the psychomotor skills necessary for the delivery of dental hygiene services. Two lecture and six lab hours per week.
