Prerequisite: DDT 1114 Structural section, terms and conventional abbreviations and symbols used by structural fabricators and erectors are studied. Knowledge is gained in the use of the American Institute of Steel Construction, Inc. handbook. Problems are studied that involve structural designing and drawing of beams, columns, connections, trusses and bracing. One lecture and four lab hours per week.
