Prerequisite: Consent of instructor This course is a production project which requires the student to apply technical skills acquired in previous courses. Project management is provided by the instructor with the students working as teams in each particular area of the manufacturing system. The students are required to plan the project and prepare the integrated system to manufacture a product. This includes all software, hardware, fixtures, clamping mechanisms, material handling requirements, sensors and interfacing, and external control devices. Two lecture and four lab hours per week.
