Prerequisite: A score of 16 on the Reading portion of the Enhanced ACT or REA 1013 with a grade of "C" or better.A survey of the nature and functions of family as a cultural unit, the institution of marriage, and the factors that make for change in family relationships. Offers students the opportunity to think critically about dating, mating, parenting, and making choices in relationships. SOC 2113 is recommended preparation. Three lecture hours per week.
