The course covers the types of measurements and tests on telecommunication facilities, the components in those systems and typical failure modes. Tests on subscriber loops, trucks, and fiber-optic lines are covered, as well as switching machine, user terminal, and transmission device testing. Additional lab hours required. Prerequisite: TEL:205 and TEL:207 and Reading Proficiency.
