hrs. lec., 384 hours lab, 15 credits Prerequisite: Successful completion of Levels I and II of the PN Program Co-requisite: PN 231. This course presents principles of nursing care for adult clients in acute, sub-acute, and convalescent stages of illness. Emphasis is placed on nutrition, self-esteem, safety, activity, oxygenation, elimination, and comfort needs. Clinical experiences allow students to apply these theoretical concepts with adults, families, and groups. The role of the practical nurse in delegation, collaboration, and healthcare delivery is practiced.
