1 hr. lec., 9 hrs. lab, 4 credits Prerequisites: NG 113, 143, EH 113, MS 1123 or 123, PSY 213, BY 154, 164, 224 Co-requisites: NG 124, 123, EH 123 Clinical focus is on utilizing the planning phase of the nursing process to formulate nursing behaviors and therapeutic interventions. Emphasis is placed on supportive nursing behaviors for an individual with an overt, unmet comfort, self-esteem, activity, or urinary elimination need. Therapeutic communication techniques are utilized in the provision of care for clients experiencing stress maladaptation.
