An examination of world regions with developed industrial and service economies, including Europe, the Untied States, Canada, the former Soviet Union, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. Topics include spatial patterns of economic development, resource use, international trade, population and migration, transportation, and urban landscapes. Each region is analyzed as part of the larger global community, with a specific emphasis on current issues and trends. Prerequisite: WR 115, RD 115 and MTH 20 or equivalent placement test scores.
