Covers instruction and practice of precision measurement with tools commonly used by the machinist to produce and measure part features. This course introduces the proper use, applications and parts of the outside, inside, and depth micrometers; the vernier caliper; dial indicators; and the dial bore gage commonly used by the machinist to verify and manufacture part features to print specifications. Prerequisite: MCH 100.
