Japanese Culture through Film. Increases understanding of Japanese traditional and modern culture and society through analysis of cultural, historical and social issues presented ten Japanese films. May explore concepts such as families, social roles, friendship, WWII, traditions and pop culture, morality, philosophies, economics. Course conducted in English. Japanese films will be subtitled in English. Prerequisites: WR 115 and RD 115 or equivalent placement test scores.
