This course is for the college student whose grasp of basic arithmetic skills is currently weak or marginal. Competency at the college level in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of integers, decimals and fractions, as well as ratio, percent, and simple equations will be emphasized. This course does not meet requirements for a degree program. A student receiving a Numerical Skills ASSET score is 43 or lower or an ACT Math score of 18 or lower or a COMPASS Pre-Algebra score of 48 or lower must enroll in this course to satisfy prerequisites for Beginning Algebra.
