3 CR. (2L/2 CLI) PRQ: ENG 121; basic skills courses, if applicable; ACT 20 or higher in Reading; admission to Dental Hygiene program. Introduces principles of x-radiation production and safety factors; application and theory of properly exposing, processing, mounting and evaluating radiographs; identification of normal anatomic landmarks and pathologic conditions. Focuses on utilization of the laboratory in performing procedures necessary to produce quality radiographs.
