4 CR. (2.5L/2.25 LBV) PRQ: Admission to the Phlebotomy program and ENG 090, MAT 060, REA 060, or equivalent assessment test scores. Teaches the duties associated with the practice of venipuncture, capillary puncture, and special collection procedures. Students will have experience with quality control, infection control and safety procedures as well as laboratory computer systems. Students successfully completing this course may apply for a National Phlebotomy Registry Examination.
