Includes advanced pulmonary physiology and pathophysiology, assessment and monitoring of acute and chronic respiratory failure, mechanical ventilation, and emergency respiratory care. Incorporates a laboratory portion that enables the student to develop skills essential for the assessment and treatment of the critically ill.
