A laboratory course to teach participants to accurately observe the behaviors of children and adults in order to assess their needs in classrooms, child care, agencies seeking to help families, or medical settings. Types of observation and recording, the problems of observer bias, non-verbal behaviors, and listening skills will be emphasized. (Same as PSYC 2432).
