Course may be waved with a valid Liaison Council on Certification for Surgical Technologists certificate. In an applied setting, this course is designed to develop an understanding of theory in surgical technology. It will cover the necessary basic knowledge for assuming the responsibilities of a surgical technologist. Areas emphasized will be medical terminology, medical-legal aspects and care of surgical patients, supplies and equipment. This course will be offered through a technology center nation accredited health program
