Prerequisite: PSY 1113 Elements of Psychology This course is the scientific study of the behavior of the child from conception to adolescence. It stresses early experience in relationships, gender roles, and life skills. Emphasis is given to the self-concept as developed through interaction with significant others, maturation, appreciation of environmental factors, and the establishment of a value system.
