3 hours credit (3 hours lecture) This course stresses the commonalities, rather than the differences, of people around the globe. The concepts of culture, values, diversity, perspectives, conflict, interdependence, and change are central to the course and are used to analyze such issues as peace and conflict, world hunger, population, human rights, and economic in-terdependence. This course seeks to understand global issues, how others view these issues, and the effects these issues have on the world. This course requires at least one paper using a documentation format.
